本文尝试阐析圣约对于全球经济生活的意义来理解基督教神学与当今公共生活的关联性。文章主要以基督教圣约之神学为框架,阐释其应用在经济问题中"职份"和"责任"的涵义,一方面体现于对职业生涯、财富和环境的理解,另一方面关涉企业的德性或灵性以及商业的道德、文化和政治责任,包含兼顾自由与平等、爱对自我利益的规整、对于穷人的责任等。经济生活离不开道德和精神上的引导和支持,从基督宗教的视角来看,这种精神力量和道德责任应诉诸于神圣的旨意。
