On Jiang Zemin's Thoughts of Economic Globalization

经济全球化是人类文明发展的客观进程,是生产力和科学技术发展的客观要求和必然结果。江泽民认为经济全球化为我国带来了巨大机遇,主张以积极态度参与经济全球化进程,强调我国应在参与经济全球化过程中坚持独立自主原则,维护经济安全,避免沦为他国附庸,并着眼于人类文明发展大局,提出了实现"共赢""共存"的目标及可能。

The economic globalization is the objective process of human civilization development. It's the objective requirement and necessary result of the development of both productive forces and science and technology. Jiang Zemin holds that the economic globalization brings forth great opportunities for China and thus China should participate actively in the course of economic globalization. He stresses that China should stick to the principle of maintaining independence while keeping the initiative in hands, maintain economic security and avoid becoming the dependency of other countries in the course of our participation in the economic globalization. He also puts forward the goal and possibility of realizing the winwin and coexistence strategy.
