摘要
随着社会经济的发展,传统的EFL教学法不仅无法解决EFL教学中的诸多问题,反而因其在两极间的摆动阻碍了语言教学。因此,EFL教学的一种新方法———认知法的出现亦成必然,在EFL教学改革中起着重要作用。
With the development of oursocialeconomy ,thereisnowayofsolvingvariousproblemsinEFL teachingwithtraditionalteachingmethod .Theshiftbetweenthetwoextremesactuallyhinderslanguage teaching .Therefore ,thenewtypeofteachingmethods———cognitiveapproachtakesitsinevitableshape .It isplayinganincreasinglyimportantroleinEFLteachingreform .Startingfromthelearner’scognitiveabil ityandprocess,thenewcognitiveapproachtolanguagelearningtakesintoaccountnotonlygeneralprob lemsinEFLteachingbutalsocognitivedifferencesbetweenindividuals,andappliestherelevanttheoriesto thetask orientedEFLteachingandtests .ItalsocriticizesthetraditionalEFLteachingmethodswiththe shiftbetweenthetwoextremestoenhancetheeffectivenessoflanguagelearning .Theessayshowsclearly thewaytoanswerthevariousproblemsinsecondlanguageteachingfromtheviewpointofpsychologicallin guisticsandcognitiveprocess.
