There have been striking achievements in rhetorical research In the 20th Century in Jiangsu, which has been a great driving force for the development and prosperity of Chinese rhetoric. There are five stages for the research:initial 50 years, 17 years after the founding of P. R. C. , the transitional period during the Cultural Revolution, the 1980s and the 1990s, with excellent achievements in each stage.
