邓小平关于社会主义现代化建设与小康社会的思想,是我国社会主义现代化建设发展战略的重要依据,是建设有中国特色社会主义理论的重要组成部分。江泽民在十六大报告中提出的全面建设小康社会的奋斗目标,不仅坚持和继承而且丰富和发展了邓小平的小康社会思想。

The thought on the socialistic modernization construction and the society in which the people lead a fairly comfortable life in DENG Xiao-ping Theory is the significant basis of the development strategy of socialist modernization construction in our country and is the important componment part of the theory of constructing the socialism with chinese characteristcs.The goal of achieving a well-off society put forward in JIANG Ze-min's report delivered at the 16th National Congress of the CPC has not only adhered and continued but also enriched and developed DENG Xiao-ping's thought on the society in which the people lead a fairly comfortable life.
