The Chinese Dictionary Explannations Viewing from Cognitive Psychology

词典的释义机制是人类认知心理机制的一部分。从范畴化和意象图式这两个方面简要分 析,词典释义有两层含义:一是词典编纂者通过语言把非语言世界作为客体进行分类,一是 词典编纂者把语言本身作为客体进行分类。词典释义中最常见的意象图式是部分——整 体图式,其次是中心——边缘图式和系联图式。

The explaining mechanism of the dictionary is one part of the mechanism of mankind' cognitive psychohogy. This paper focuses on analyzing the cognitive basis of the Chinese dictionary explanations briefly in terms of categorization and imagery schema. The categorization of dictionary explanations can be understood through two aspects. One is that dictionary compilers classify the non - language world as the object. The other is that dictionary compilers classify language on the basis that language itself is the object. The most common imagery schema in dictionary explanations is the schema of part - entirety, while the next ones are the schema of center - fringe and the schema of linking.
