数字图书馆的出现对于信息资源的整理、管理以及为读者提供服务具有重要的意义 ,它和传统图书馆的主要区别在于网络化的结构以及先进的检索方式所带来的主动性服务。数字图书馆的内涵是内容的数字化、形式的网络化和检索的智能化 ,并在此基础上提供方便、高效的服务。数字图书馆的建设应该包含数字文献资源库的建立和数字图书馆系统的建立。在数字文献资源库的建立中要解决的问题主要有版权问题和文献信息数字化的技术问题。数字图书馆系统建设中主要包括网络的建立及如何提供方便的检索和其他服务。在数字图书馆的建设中 ,我们首先必须有一个明确的定位 ,明确数字图书馆的规模、服务范围等 ,并在此基础上集成和整合资源 ,形成基本馆藏 ,提供好的检索和使用方法 ,为读者服务。

The appearance of digital library is of importance to information management,and service for the readers.The major difference between such library and traditional library lies in the network structure and the active service provided by the advanced indexing system.Digital library is one that offers digitalized contents,network forms and intelligent indexing,and on the basis of the above-said,the convenient and effective service.The construction of digital library should include the construction of digitalized information bank and digital library system.The former involoves mainly the copy right and digitalization of information;the latter involves the scale of the library,the scope of service.On the basis of all this,the information resources and the basic collection of the library will be shaped, thus offering the readers convenient indexing and satisfactory service.
