摘要
本文从几个方面论述了拉丁语对英语的影响。这种影响是巨大的,但没有改变英语作为一种独立语言的地位,相反使它更加丰富,更加具有表达力。事实说明,一种语言适当吸收其他语言的合理成分不仅是无害的,而且是有益的。
The article discusses the impact of Latin on English language from severa l aspects.The impact doesn' t change the position of English as an independent language though it is en ormous,and it makes English more abundant and expressive.In fact ,it' s not only harmless but also helpful f or a language to absorb the rational composition of other languages prop erly.
