英语中的矛盾修饰法是把两个意义完全相反的词或词组放在一起 ,来揭示事物的矛盾性 ,产生一种强大的逻辑力量 ,引起出人意料。
An oxymoron is a compressed paradox, formed by the conjoining of two contrasting, contradictory or incongruous terms. It reveals the contradiction of matters and produces a great logical power accompanied by the effect of an unexpected suspense and aestheticism.
