语言诸要素中,词汇最能承载文化信息和反映社会生活。由于世界观、文化心理、价值观念、文化渊源、习语惯用法等方面的差异,一些常用词及其文化内涵迥然不同。因此 ,在大学英语词汇教学中融文化知识于词语中 ,以导入文化的适度性 ,对提高词汇教学的效率具有重要的意义。

This paper is about cultural differences in vocabulary studies. Cultural difference has a great influence on vocabulary studies. Among all the factors of a language, vocabulary is the most important carrier of cultural information and reflects faithfully the social life of the people who speak that language. Cultural differences will involve ideas, beliefs, customs, skills, arts and so forth.So it is important for teachers to help students to identify the differences between two cultures.
