Tentative Research on Guozhou-State Cheng-ni Inkstone

澄泥砚是我国一项古老的传统工艺品,它与端砚、歙砚、洮砚并称为四大名砚。虢州澄泥砚又因其类陶、类石、光溢似漆、触手生晕、坚润益墨等优点而倍受文人推崇。本文试就虢州澄泥砚的历史渊源,制作工艺及形制演变略作探讨。

The Cheng-ni inkstone is an old traditional Chinses technology,which is one of the“Four Fa-mous Inkston”called,with Duan,She,Tao.Contrast to the others,Guozhou-State inkstone is similar to the china-like stone in quality,reflecting a blare of lacquere,embobying brilliance when touched,stable and smooth that is suitable for containing Chinses ink.For these good qualities,the Cheng-ni inkstone is canonized by people.This article introduces and researches the historical origin,manual technic,and model development of Guozhou-State Cheng-ni inkstone.
