A Summary of the Study on Zai-construction Referring Place

前人根据不同的目的,从不同的角度,运用不同的理论对处所“在”字句进行了较为深入的研究。目前随着研究方法的改进和研究角度的变换,逐渐从局限于语言结构内部研究到语言内和语言外研究相结合,从共时研究到共时和历时研究相结合,从简单的描写到描写和解释相结合。

Predecessors, according to their different purposes, have deeply studied the Zai-construction referring place from different perspectives and with different theories. But with the improvement of the approaches and the changes of perspectives, there appear three main shifts: from mere linguistic perspective to the combination of linguistic and extra-linguistic perspectives, from synchrony to the combination of synchrony and diachrony, and from the simple description to the combination of description and interpretation.
