摘要
跨文化意识指的是外语学习者在跨文化交际中所特有的思维方式、判断能力以及对交际过程中不同文化因素的敏感性。文化是跨文化交际研究的核心,而文化的核心是价值观念。本文结合大学英语教学阐述了跨文化意识和文化的概念;论述构建跨文化意识的目标、任务和教学交际文化及知识文化对构建跨文化意识的意义;初步阐述了价值观念、思维模式等知识文化因素对构建跨文化意识、避免跨文化交际中的语用失误起着决定性作用;结合实例分析后指出,我国跨文化意识构建的研究和教学亟待加强。最后,文章就构建跨文化意识提出了尝试性的做法。
Intercultural awareness refers to a language learner's way of thinking, judgment and sensitivity to cultural differences in intercultural communication. Culture is the core of intercultural communication research, and values are the core of culture. After defining culture and intercultural awareness, this paper makes a tentative study of the goal and tasks of fostering learners' cultural awareness by imparting cultural knowledge of daily communication and values in college English teaching. It states from a theoretical perspective the significance of passing on to the learners such cultural knowledge as values and thinking mode in fostering their intercultural awareness so that they can avoid pragmatic errors in intercultural communication. It also illustrates with examples that we need carry out promptly the research into fostering intercultural awareness. The paper finishes with a proposal of some methods of fostering intercultural awareness.
