The Discussion on Contemporary New Words

当代汉语涌现出大批流行新词语。它们的构词方式灵活多样 :复合、派生、缩略、吸收外来词以及旧词衍生新义等等。以这些方式生成的新词语 ,极大地丰富了现代汉语的词库 ,增强了语言的表现力。

Contemporary Chinese has emerged in large numbers of popular new words, which are formed in various ways such as compounding, deriving, introduced from foreign words, deriving new meanings from former words, and so on. New words formed in these ways greatly enlarge the capacity of contemporary Chinese and enhance the expression of the language as well.
