Frontal overhand serve is an important content and exam courses in volleyball teaching in colleges and universities.The article not only analyses and points out the disadvantages that incorrect tossing brings to the grasp and improvement of serve and its reason of producing,but also poses the teaching method and step of grasping and improving tossing quality,and illustrates the importance of paying attention to the practice of tossing in volleyball teaching of frontal overhand serve.
