“Obama”类词“误用”之符号学解读

A Semiotic Interpretation of the "Misuse" of "Obama" Words

本文根据语言符号任意性的原则,运用"直指与涵指"的理论,对"Obama"类词被"误用"而出现的衍生词汇进行符号学解读。研究发现,语言符号系统内部因素的"合力"和语言使用者背后的社会团体交际共同促成了新型语言符号的产生。由美国总统姓氏Obama所引发的"Obama现象"使专有名词Obama被"普通化",被赋予了丰富内涵及象征意义,并依靠Obama"平民总统"的形象,以前缀"Obama-"语言符号的形式自然而然地被人们"误用"于日常言语交际当中。因此,Obama被"符号化"的过程与特定社会背景下大众心理不谋而合,这是"Obama"类衍生词汇大行其道的根本原因。

The Obama Phenomenon,generated by the name of today’s American president,leads to the commonization of the proper noun "Obama".Furthermore,the commonized "Obama" is then endowed with abundant senses and symbolic meanings.Today the name Obama has been evolved into the form of prefix "Obama-" and used widely due to Obama’s image of "civilian president".Based on the Dénotation-Connotation theory,the present paper attempts to give a symbolic interpretation of some derivative words from the "misuse" of "Obama".I...
