伯初若父,仲偶似母.他们姓徐,剃平头,穿布衣,在外型上到了几乎无法辨认的地步.伯初是西南交大教授,仲偶是四川大学教授,他们对艺术有着宗教般的虔诚和热情,作为有独立思想的艺术家,他们的一生是坎坷不平的,他们不得不在重重的荆棘和陷阱之中开辟自己的道路.正是这样,他们才可能从容地去展现人类关于爱的永恒主题,并以非凡的才华和过人的精力创作一系列优秀的艺术作品,他们的生命之旅也因此而生动与富有朝气……

There are a great many twin brothers in the world,but very few twin brothers who are con- currently art professors.However, there is such a twin in Chengdu City:Xu Bochu,the elder brother is the professor with Southwest China Jiaotong University and the younger brother Xu Zhong’ou, the professor with Sichuan University.Their mother delivered the twin after only 7 months’ pregnancy.The elder one weighed 1.75 kg and the younger,1.5 kg when they came to the world.Poorly nursed,the brothers went through frustra- tions and hardships even in their child- hood.They liked to paint at an early age and later,respectively enrolled in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the Art Department of Southwest China Normal University, Afterwards,the elder brother studied in Vienna for 7 years,winning the master degree in applied fine arts.He participat- ed in the design of such important indus- trial projects as maglev body and special train carriage for state leaders.The younger brother spent 7 years turning out a 10-m-long block print titled Qinglong Town,which was then collected by the Great Britain Museum.He received an ample award from the British Woodblock Foundation.Finally,he invested this large sum in the construction of the Internation- al Engraving Exchange Base.
