Japanese Gift Culture in the Perspective of Communicative Function

古今中外 ,馈赠是人类社会交往的一个重要的方式手段 ,而在日本尤其如此。本文侧重探讨日本人馈赠的意识和行为与社会文化背景的关系及特点 ,同时也触及中国的一些同类问题 ,以加深对中日跨文化交际的理解。

In the long history of human society,as an important means of communication,presenting gifts have been so popular among the people in different countries,especially in Japan. The author in this article tries to demonstrate the Japanese way of presenting gifts and its relationships and features which are associated with the Japanese social and cultural background,and simultaneously compare it with that in China so as to deepen the understanding of Chinese and Japanese cultures.
