江泽民对邓小平理论的继承和发展，从内容上可以分为两类：一类是创造性的运用，一类是理论的发展创新。“七一”讲话提出的一系列新思想、新观点，是从整体上对邓小平理论的深化和创新，把邓小平理论发展到了一个新阶段。

Jiang Zemin inherits and upgrades Deng Xiaoping's theory. The contents are divided into two parts including creative application and upgrading of theory. What put forward on Address on 'July 1' are series of new thoughts and ideas that further innovate and upgrade all Deng Xiaoping's theory to a new level.
