Research on Application of the Technology of Jave-CORBA in Web-Based Distance Education System

基于Web的远程教学系统是一种基于网络的分布式系统 ,它的关键技术—Web技术是较成熟的全球计算资源共享的解决方案 ,但其体系结构不够灵活 ;而分布式对象技术中的CORBA(CommonObjectRequestBrokerArchitecture)解决了网络异构性 ,实现网络透明性 ,Java解决了体系异构性 ,实现处理透明性 ,两者的集成能弥补Web的缺点。应运用集成CORBA -Java技术的三层体系结构来构建基于Web的远程教学系统。

Web based distance education system is a Web distributed system.Though Web is a good resource sharing revolution,its flexibility is insufficient.CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture)and Java are excellent tools to solve distributed application.This paper introduces the principles of the integration of CORBA and Java first, then the 3 tier Web architecture based on CORBA and Java are discussed to construct a Web based distance education system.
