揭开帕米尔的红盖头——帕米尔高原纪行

“揭盖头”是新疆吾尔族,塔吉克族婚礼中有趣的活动。新娘离家时,亲人总要给她的头上盖上一条特别珍贵的盖头。所谓“红锦盖头送至男家”的俗谚,指的就是这一仪式。揭开盖头,显示出新娘的羞怯和美丽。帕米尔高原是新疆西部的离原,也是海拔最高的地方,本文以揭开红盖头比喻帕来尔高原之行,叙述帕米尔的神奇与美丽。

The Pamirs Plateau is situated with the highest elevation in western Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is famed for its charming plateau scenery, attracting numerous tourists from home and abroad, The Karakuli Lake with water and sky merging in one color, the Mushitage Peak, known as the Father of Glacier, and the Stone City with a long history on the plateau add luster to its beauty.The Tajik ethnic group are inhabited here. Tajik people are warm-hearted, hospitable and excel in singing and dancing. Their Eagle dance and musical instrument Eagle Flute are brimmed with strong local ethnic features. Their wedding ceremony is distinctive. The bride wears a red bridal veil to cover up her shyness and beauty. The Pamirs is just as beautiful as Tajik bride.
