On entering Shui Junyi's office, a world map covering the whole wall and a globe occupying half of his desk impressively come into sight. The 2 things are so eye-catching that they remind everybody, once in this office of the fact that here is The World program group. The World revised based on previous Oriental Horizon is destined to be a highly sought-after program, The program, in which Shui Junyi plays the major role as producer and host, broadcasts focal event and personage worldwide backed-up with the concerted efforts of CCTV correspondents all over the world. As a permanent program relating to international affairs, The World seems to be the first to be aired on Channel 1 of CCTV.
