This article introduces the circumstances of multimedia of the course 'Mechanics of Materials' in our University. It also discusses the dominance of multimedia teaching method and the problems in multimedia teaching process. It is confirmed that multimedia teaching method is welcomed by students. It is the supplement of traditional teaching method and also a challenge as well. The multimedia teaching method will be better and better after the implement of the course and other teaching links step by step on network.
