中国即将加入WTO ,既有机遇又有挑战。一个国家的强大关键取决于人才和科技 ,而中国人才和科技的现状与发达国家相比 ,仍有很大差距。高等学校担负着人才培养的重任 ,要不断深化教育教学改革 ,优化人才培养目标 ,注重学生的科学研究和实践 ,更新教学手段和教学方法 ,改革评学、评教体系 。

China's entry into WTO is drawing near,which offers both opportunities and challenges.The key to a powerful country depends on talents and science and technology.Compared with the developed countries,China lags behind in science and technology.The institutions of higher learining shoulder the heavy responsibility for developing talents,therefore we must continue to further educational and teaching reform,optimize the training goal of developing talents,emphasize scientific research and practice,renew teaching means and teaching methods,reform the system of evaluating learning and teaching,and develop innovative talents of high quality for the construction of modernization.
