作为文化形式的哲学与宗教,从产生动因看,两者都是满足人类精神需求的产物。“终极实在”是两种文化形式蕴涵的永恒主题,但两种“终极实在”在表现方式、合理性及满足人类思维机能自由发挥的作用方式等方面都有区别。哲学与宗教都来自共同母体——原始神话,但由于产生的时代不同,决定了两者有许多区别。在人类社会的发展进程中,两种文化形式既相互利用、相互促进、又彼此对立,相互竞争,表现出了在不同时期的一些不同特点。

As forms of culture, both philosophy and religion were created to meet the spiritual needof mankind. The'ultimate reality'is the eternal theme of the two forms of culture, but it is expressed dif-ferently in terms of ways of expression, reasonableness and ways of satisfying the function of free humanthinking. Both philosophy and religion were born of the same mother - primitive myths. However, manydifferences exist because philosophy and culture came into being in different times. In the process of thedevelopment of the human society, the two forms of culture have made use of each other, promoted eachother, opposed each other and competed against each other. Hence a certain number of different charac-teristics have appeared in different times.
