皋浒之战地理考析

A Study on Geographical Locations of the Gaohu Battle

公元前605年发生的皋浒之战,是楚国历史上的一个重要事件。关于这次战事的地理格局,清代以来形成了三种不同的说法。结合近些年新出的文字材料和研究成果加以分析,这些说法都存在不妥之处。若敖氏拘押和杀掉蔿贾的地点,当在今河南唐河县湖阳镇北;楚庄王驻军的场所,应在今湖北宜城市所在的蛮河流域;双方最终决战地当在襄樊附近的汉皋山麓、汉水南岸。

The Gaohu Battle occurred in 605 BC is a well-known military event in the history of Chu State.There have been three different views on geographical locations of the battlefield since Qing Dynasty(1644~1911).Based on analyses of recent identified materials and re-evaluation of previous studies,this paper concludes that these three views are incorrect,and suggests that the location where Wei Jia was imprisoned and killed by Ruo-ao Family is in the north of present Huyang Town,Tanghe County of Henan Province;...
