我国近代的最大的收藏家和鉴赏家庞莱臣,毕生从事实业和收藏两项事业,又以实业的成功,支持和实现了收藏上的成功,尤以收藏书画之富冠于江南,尽其毕生精力和财力收藏和保护了我国许多绘画艺术珍品。
Pang Laichen, the greatest collector and appreciator in latter-day China, had devoted his entire life to the two undertakings of industry and collection, while the success of the former had supported and realized the triumph of the latter. His collection of Chinese paintings and calligraphies was the richest in South-eastern China. All through his life, he had been spending his strength and fortune on collecting and protecting treasures of Chinese paintings.
