明代广西进士人数及其地理分布考述

The Number of Jinshi and Its Regional Distribution in Guangxi during the Ming Dynasty

明代广西进士共有201名,在明代各省直名列倒数第二,仅多于贵州。其在不同时段的数量分布则表现出前后低中间高的特点,洪武四年至成化二年的29科共考中进士55人;成化五年至嘉靖三十二年的29科共考中进士88人;嘉靖三十五年至明末的30科共考中进士58人。另外,进士地理分布也表现出极不平衡的特点,在广西所属的11个府中只有8个府有进士分布,其中100人出自桂林府,而思恩、思明、镇安三府俱无进士。

During the Ming Dynasty,Guangxi had 201 Jinshi in all,which was the second fewest among all provinces, only a litttle more than that in Guizhou. The number of Jinshi is smaller at the beginning and end than that in the mid of the Ming Dynasty.
