意向性与语篇的解读初探

A Preliminary Exploration to the Relation of Intentionality and Discourse Interpretation

语言学家 Beaugrande和 Dressler( 1981)认为 ,广义上来说 ,意向性指语篇构建者使用语篇来达到某种意图的各种方法。人们发出某种话语都是有一定意图和目的的。语篇的构建通常都始于构建者的某种意向 ,而语篇的解读则终止于对该意向的辨识。本文尝试运用语言哲学家 H.P.Grice的意向意义理论和会话合作原则来分析几个语篇 。

Beaugrande and Dressler (1981) think that in a wider sense of the term,intentionality designates all the ways in which text producers utilize texts to pursue and fulfil their intentions. People produce some discourses to achieve a certain intention.Discourse construction starts with a certain intention, while discourse interpretation ends with the recognition of the intention. The article is intended to probe the function of intentionality in discourse interpretation by using Grice′s intentional theory of meainng and Cooperative Principle.
