Western thinkers in age of Enlightenment claim that mankind can have permanent peace after Enlightenment, but it is not true. Modern wars are not rooted in unchangeable human nature, but in capitalist culture. Capitalist culture regards wealth and power as the highest values, and stimulates the expanding competition among people. And capitalism pursues economic growth endlessly, and war is an efficient way of stimulating economic growth, therefore capitalism cannot end wars. In order to end wars forever, we have to transform the capitalist culture.
