天骄3号是以YQ-6为母本,以YJ-5为父本配制而成的早熟西瓜一代杂种。全生育期97d(天),果实发育期28d(天),植株生长健壮,主蔓第1雌花节位为第7节。易坐果,果实圆形,果皮深绿色覆窄墨绿色条带,果皮厚1.0cm,耐贮运。果肉红色,肉质脆,中心糖含量12.0%,平均单瓜质量5.2kg,每667m2产量3800kg左右,适合全国大部分地区露地栽培。
