摘要
Based on the data from the author's interviews in 1998, this paper focuseson some theoretical and methodological issues related to marital inequality,which are much more complicated in Chinese urban families than de-scribed in western theories. The study of the inequality between husbandand wife in China should be placed in the perspective of Chinese history,culture, economy, and society.
本文作者通过个案访谈的资料,着重探讨有关中国城市中夫妻平等万面的一些问题。她认为只用直接交换方式和经济资源、权力、家务付出等指标来研究夫妻平等是远远不够的。中国的夫妻平等问题要放在中国的历史、文化、经济和社会背景中进行探讨、研究。
