摘要
Women who support families by themselves face twice the hardships of double-parent families. Support groups for single mothers have emerged in some of Beijing's districts. Since 1998, the support group sponsored by Beijing Chongwen District's Women's Federation has assisted more than 1,000 single mothers. The group has helped them improve themselves, and resolve material problems. The single mothers have been able to rebuild their self-confidence, rediscover their value and make new lives.
当一个家庭的天空是由母亲独自撑起的时候,她将面临的艰难也许不只是双亲的两倍。近来北京的一些社区出现了单新母新支持小组,这些小组以谈心的形式让单亲母亲们定期聚在一起,互相鼓励和支持。从1998年至今,北京市崇文区妇联组织的单亲母亲支持小组已经为一千多位单亲母亲提供了帮助,为她们解决了许多实际生活中的困难,使这些单亲母亲们重新建立起自信,发现自身的价值、开始了新的生活。
