On the Role of Folk Stipulations in Individual Moral Education in Ancient Times

中国古代形成了一套完整的个体品德培育机制,其中通过民间规约促使社会普遍价值原则具体化、生活化以培育个体品德是十分重要的路径。家训、族规、乡约是三种主要的民间规约形式,在古代个体品德培育过程中具有重要的作用。

There had been an integral system of individual moral education in ancient China,among which folk stipulations enhanced social values to be exact and livelihood,and became the important means of cultivating individual moral.Family rules,clan rules,county regulations are the three kinds of folk stipulations,which played very important rule in the process of individual moral education.
