摘要
The history of cupboards and chests in China is lengthy, beginning during the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties(C. 2100—221 B. C.). By the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368—1911), cases and cabinets had become necessities, which resulted in a greater attention being paid to their style. Elegant and in good taste, they were made of carefully chosen materials and boast meticulous workmanship.
