In the 1990s, the Chinese Government worked out the Program for the Development of Chinese Women (PDCW) and the Program for theDevelopment of Chinese Children (PDCC) for the end of the century.Most of the targets set in these two programs have been reached bynow. At the beginning of a new century, new programs have beenworked out and the development of Chinese women and children hasset new targets for the next 10 years.
上个世纪90年代,中国政府制定了世纪末《中国妇女发展纲要》和《中国儿童发展纲要》,两个纲要的目标绝大部分已经实现。在新的世纪刚刚开始的时候,新的“两纲”又制定出来,中国妇女和儿童今后10年的发展有了新目标。
