A pioneer who paved a new coursefor dance in China, Dai Ailian holds ahigh reputation in dance circles. On agolden plaque presented to her, adance organization from Taiwaninseribed the words; "Mother ofChinese Dance." These words aptlydescribe Dai’s status in the develop-ment of dance in China.
