漓江发源自桂林市兴安县境内的猫儿山,长约437公里,流经两省二市八县。漓江流域山川秀丽、人杰地灵、文化独特,有人说这里的男人如漓江的山,这里的女人象漓江的水,水依山而秀,山依水而灵。秀美空灵写出漓江山水的特色,而清丽纯朴却是女人的人格写照。这个曾经以农业为主的地区,如今旅游事业蓬勃发展。这不仅为当地妇女创造了许多就业的机会,也使相当一部分的妇女成了经营能手。
