摘要
Mencius expressed his opinion that anyone who has seen the sea will not be impressed by other waters; by way of analogy, anyone who has learned from a sage will not be attracted to other doctrines. What Mencius means is that only those who have broadened their perceptions can have lofty aspirations. According to this, it is important to broaden our horizons.
