Xinran presented her Nanjing radio program, 'Words on the Night Breeze' for eight groundbreaking years. Deng Xiaoping had just started the process of opening up China, and for the first time women were invited to call her program and talk freely. The Good Women of China is a collection of the true stories of several of these women-stories of suffering, but also of love.
