Glass mirrors appeared in China during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Prior to that time, all mirrors in China were made from bronze. A bronze mirror was not only an indispensable tool, used daily, that reflected people's appearances when they dressed up; it was also a unique work of bronze art.
直到清代中国才开始出现玻璃制造的镜子。而在此之前,镜子都是青铜制成的。铜镜是古人日常生活中不可缺少的梳妆照容用具,也是我国古代青铜器中独成体系的青铜艺术品。
