To older Beijingers, jiemodunr, or Chinese cabbage with mustard, will always be the source of many sweet memories. Even though many of Beijing's traditional snacks and dishes have failed to survive the changing times, jiemodunr, a cold dish, is still around. Why? First, its ingredients are easy to find and, second, the dish is special.
