Despite the hard natural conditions,women and children in Gaibulake Village,near the world s second-lowest-lying lake,in Turpan Basin,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,are enjoying themselves.Life in the village is continually improving,given their creativity and innovation—and the government s assistance.
