Ding Wei,who has been training as an erhu player from a young age,takes her music very seriously. Although she has been dubbed China s first jazz singer,it s hard to label the singer and composer as either a jazz artist or pop singer—such labels simply don t stick because Ding is continually evolving and pushing herself to the limit.
丁薇自幼学习二胡演奏,对于音乐,她有一种严肃认真的态度。尽管她被誉为中国首位爵士乐歌手,其实对于这位创作型音乐人来说,很难明确地把她定位为爵士乐艺术家或是流行歌手,因为她总是在不断进步,不断把自己推向极限。
