英语口语测试结果量化甄别与主观评分实证研究 被引量:5

Quantitative Evaluating and Subjective Scoring in Oral English Test:An Empirical Study

摘要 本文在分析专家们的口语量化指标操作性定义的基础上,提出了"时间性指标"、"停顿次数指标"、"有效交际单位指标"和"量化指标综合系数"的操作性定义;用实证研究手段对英语口语测试中提取并换算得出"量化指标综合系数"数值与评分员打分得出的分数做了对比实验研究。相关性检验结果显示两者存在着很高的一致性。这一结论说明采用量化方法甄别学生英语口语测试结果的途径是可行的,在区别学生英语口语能力差异程度上可以达到和主观打分相同的准确性。 Following an analysis of available experts’ operational definitions of oral English quantitative indexes, we put forward a new definition that incorporates three quantitative indexes: Time (T), Pause (P), Meaningful Communication Unit (MC-Unit), and Comprehensive Coefficient of Quantitative Indexes ﹛(W/P)T coefficient﹜. Guided by this new definition, we then conduct an empirical research on the evaluation of oral English test by comparing the Comprehensive Coefficient of Quantitative Indexes calculated from quantitative indexes with the Subjective Scoring. The study shows a high correspondence between the Comprehensive Coefficient of Quantitative Indexes and the Subjective Scoring, which supports the use of quantitative indexes as a means for distinguishing students’ oral English difference in oral English test.
