The Lvliang poetry has a long history,dated back to 'Wei Ballads' and 'Tang Ballads' of the Book of Songs,were passed down from Dynasties of Han-Wei,Tang-Song,Yuan-Ming-Qing to nowadays.They contain a wide range of themes and diversified styles,full of local features,depicting the beauty and treasure of nature,the historic figures,people's miserable life and travelers' homesickness.The Lvliang poetry is important part of Lvliang culture for its distinctive style of simplicity and charm which not only meets the demand of the people's material and cultural entertainment but also contributes to the construction of Lvliang's harmonious culture.
