Study on the Development of Nida's Translation Theories and Its Enlightenment

美国翻译理论之父尤金.奈达所提出的"动态对等"、"功能对等"、"读者反应"论以及"语言共性"论等翻译理论和原则不仅丰富了我国翻译理论,而且对翻译实践也起到了很好的指导作用。然而,随着时间的推移,尤其是进入新世纪以来,奈达的翻译理论遭到强烈的批判,甚至被认为已经过时或者毫无用处。本文主要通过对奈达翻译理论演变的深入分析及其留给我们启示的研究,使大家对奈达的翻译理论有更加科学的认识和评价。

The translation theories and principles,such as 'dynamic equivalence','functional equivalence','readers' response' and 'language universality' advocated by Eugene A.Nida who is called the father of translation theory in the contemporary USA,have not only enriched and improved Chinese translation theories but also served as effective guide to the practical translation.However,as time went by,especially in recent years,his theory has been strongly criticized and even considered as outdated and useless.The article mainly aims to let all the interpreters and translators realize and comment on the translation theories of Eugene Nida much more scientifically and objectively through studying profoundly on the development of Nida's translation theories and their enlightenment left.
