After the World War II,Britain's industrial relations were determined in large part by the economic, political and social environment. The industrial relations in Britain remained relatively peaceful at the beginning. However, with Britain's continuing long-term decline as a world economic power in the period between 1964 and 1970,the British Government interfered in the industrial relations, which led to the complicated interactions among the British Government, employers and the trade unions and the changes of the industrial relations from cooperation to conflict in Britain during this period.
