摘要
现代英语导游的内容选择和表达要善于运用"以我为主"和"以客为主"的综合策略,以保持较高的信息量和文化内涵。在导游讲解中"以客为主",考虑海外游客不同的文化背景所产生的信息差异,通过增补解释,使有关中国文化的信息传递最大化。在确定内容时"以我为主",突出富有中国文化底蕴的事物,注意使用汉译英异化方法,保留中国文化的精神和风味。
What and how to present to overseas tourists are issues worth cross cultural consideration from perspectives of 'host-orientation' and 'tourist - Orientation' In describing tourist attractions, we need to be tourist - oriented, watching for the information gap and making up for the missing link in the tourists' knowledge, so that they can enjoy the equivalent response their Chinese counterparts have. In introducing things typically Chinese, however, we need to be more host - oriented, resorting to foreignizing translation rather than to the traditional domestication translation in transforming Chinese into English, so that the Chinese culture can be conveyed in its most real nature.
