Jenny Bowen and Deirdre Smyth came to China from different countries.While they live very different lives,this year,one honor will unite them.After a month-long open on-line voting campaign,co-organized by Lenovo and China Daily,Bowen and Smyth were among the eight expatriates,from 257 candidates, chosen to be torchbearers.The women will carry the torch- the primary symbol of Olympic spirit-in the lead up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
